You’ll have no doubt heard lots of people talking about how Google now insists that websites are mobile friendly, by which they mean that a website should look great and give users an easy experience on whatever device they are searching on. 
 
The term “responsive” or “adaptive” is used in the industry, meaning that the website instinctively reconfigures itself to fit perfectly on a desktop, laptop, tablet or mobile. 
 
According to Google: 
 
60%* of people won’t stay on your website if it’s not mobile-friendly 
67%* of people are more likely to buy a product or use a service from a website that is mobile friendly 
 
This is why Google ranks mobile-friendly websites above non-mobile friendly websites.
